My noise cancelling software was working perfectly but due to power savings i decided to uncheck it in misconfig. I also selected to not see it in my task bar and also stopped it running in my task manager. Now i cannot get it back. I thought it was contained in the audio software but i downloaded it again it's not working. I also downloaded the ultility software again.

Does anyone know what it is i need to download or check to make sure it is working? I know the NC software needs to be checked at the startup but i'm wondering if anything in the services needs to be checked also?

    Thanks
    edited to add:

I've sorted it out now. It does seem to be connected to the audio drivers. In the start up i saw the Sony NC software but it still wasn't in my taskbar and starting up when i connected my NC headphones. I started my task manager and clicked on the Sony NC service and went to the application directly. I just clicked on it then and changed my settings.

It is part of the Realtek audio driver.

One way to do it is to go to Control Panel and run Sound applet. From there select Speaker/HP and click Properties button in the lower right corner. Go to Enhancements tab, make sure enhancements are enabled and check in front of Noise Cancelling Function. Click Apply as many times as necessary to leave dialogs.

The program itself is (on x64 Windows 7):
    C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA\vncutil64.exe

and is started through "vncutil" (REG_SZ) key under
    \HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Thanks Zug Zug, i figured it out in the end by going to the software folder directly like you suggested. It's all working now as it should.

Rachel and ZugZug, thanks much, did what you said and figured it out, when I reinstalled Win7 Ulti I assumed it was the correct Realtek driver however it didn't have the enhancement function stated so I just used the Esupport site to download the correct Realtek driver and the option was there. Needed your input to point me in the right area, should have figured that out first off :)
    Cheers!
