I have seen some notebooks with both Fujitsu and Toshiba HDD. My old s-460 from 2005 had a Fujitsu. My most recent purchase of a CR and TZ both have Toshiba HDD. Is one brand better then the other?

Well, the Vaio TZ uses 1.8" hard drives and Toshiba manufactures a large chunk of them for one thing.

My old FS550 had a Hitachi and my FZ has a Seagate. What does that do to the theory? :)

To add to the madness, my FZ has a Hitachi.

Classic multi-vendor sourcing and "pick what's on the shelf" manufacturing!
