I am looking for the best price I could get on an S460/B, and while Bestbuy is offering it at $1799-$250 mail in rebates = $1550, tax pushes it up to about $1712, and that is waiting for the reabte to arrive.

I have found a much cheaper price online at various stores that have good resellerratings, and they do not charge tax. My only qaulm is whether or not Sony accepts rebates from stores other than those listed on the drop down menu here:

heck, amazon.com lists the rebate even though it isn't on the list...

A lot of these online retailers are listing the rebate, so they must think Sony accepts it, but I would like to be sure before I do anything...

    Thanks a bunch

They probably will, but you're taking a pretty big chance. The only way to know for sure is to somehow contact the right person and find out. Generally any approved Sony reseller will qualify, so you can also check with the reseller to see if they qualify.

I just got mine from Amazon. No tax and $250 worth of rebates. I think it's the best deal out there. They're probably the biggest/oldest online retailer, so if they include the the rebate with their product I would think it's valid. At least I hope so.

Spotted S360 for $1100 at the Sony factory outlet at vernon. Would have snatched it right away if I hadn't got a new desktop just two months ago--short on cash!
