    Hi,
    How do I turn off the touch pad on a Sony Vaio running Windows XP?I use a mouse and it interferes with typing.I have searched in settings,but can't find it anywhere.Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Start/control panel/Mouse/devise settings/disable You can also do it through the vaio control center. There is a setting to decrease the sensitivity so the heels of your hands to not cause problems when your typing. I did this instead.

    You can just go to the Device Manager and disable it, but you'd have to have a mouse or a really good understanding of keyboard use to re-enable it.
