    Sony s580 vs. s480-- Why so much less??

    I have been looking at the s580 on sonystyle and have customized it to my needs. I have done the same with the s480, and it comes out about $300 more. I have compared the specs and dont see any major differences. Can anyone explain?

    Really?? It might be software then like windows professional or office. Those can really stack up

    It's funny how this question is being asked everytime when Sony introduces new line S (and other series). The reason is simple, the components become cheaper as they get older (no longer cutting edge technology) and produced in larger quantity. Maybe I should put this in FAQ...
