    Hi guys, im in a bit of a pinch here i have a vgn-nr398d and im trying to put xp on it, and the windows cd is not identifying my sata hardrive, i cant find any storage management utilities for it, can someone help me out?

    I think you need is the chipset driver.

    However, the best solution is to use nLite to slipstream XP, the Sony XP drivers and XP SP3 into a new installation CD. This should support SATA and mean that the XP installation is ready to go with the right drivers and the various XP patches.
