When I got my laptop in early 2007 I had to call Sony for a couple of things and their overseas support staff left alot to be desired. I had call in the early morning to get what seemed like a US call center to get the help I needed and it was kind of a PITA.
Well last week I called in about my battery dying and the feet falling off, and the overseas support was very friendly and helpful. It took a couple calls in and they shipped out the battery no charge, and I had it in 2 days. They screwed up on the feet and sent me 7 RAM access covers instead of the feet, but I called in and they said to keep the covers and are sending out the feet.
BTW, if anyone needs a SZ ram access panel thing, I have a bunch![]()

Sony support really depends. If you are under warranty, everything is good. The second your warranty expires they really like to rip their customer off.
I had Sony T150, I think is the first Sony 11 inch PC. I think its was T to TX to TZ. Anyway my T150 motherboard die after 3 years and I was no longer under warranty. Sony want around $1,000 to fix the motherboard. I know old parts can be really expensive but seriously $1,000 to fix motherboard... thats not even including labour cost.
Overall I think Sony warranty is pretty good.
Sony support may be getting better
