Why don't you just try it out yourself?

Personal experience, ages while you're using it. From 10% to full takes like 4~ hours or even longer. Not sure about when its off cause that usually means I'm not using it - thus don't care how long it takes.

same. Mine seems to take hours (2-3+ maybe, ussually its plugged in anyways). However, it seems that when I leave my SZ320 overnight (not plugged), it goes from 100% to like...92% charged. Don't mean to hi-jack your thread, but is that normal?

Weird battery and large charger, hmmmmm...

seed... you may want to check if you have shut it down or just put in "sony's special" shutoff...the power symbol at the bottom of th "start menu" popup...puts things in memory and runs at low level ...which means it will draw power...so lose battery

I noticed that when I used my computer today...same issue...sz4 with vista. so i was surprised that a charged battery became a low battery!

    hope that helps.

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean.

I turn off the computer the same way as I do with a desktop (Start, Turn off Computer, Turn off). Is that what you said is "Sony's special" shutoff? Or were you explaining the process of shutting it off completely?

If it was on Sony's special shutoff, does the power LED still glow?
