    hi,
i'm italian and i've purchased the sony sz1 model M/B, the base model in italy, with Core duo T2300.
I've preferred the sony sz to apple macbook because of the high temperature of the latter.

But regardless of my expectation I'm experiencing high temperatures with my sony sz too. The temperatures are quite the same that most macbook user have registered: with a low cpu usage (around 10%) i get a cpu temperature between 47 ad 51 degrees, with cpu un full load i get a temperature between 78 and 82 degrees. These values are too high in my opinion.

I've monitored the temps with "notebook hardware control".

Can anyone tell me the cpu temperatures of his sony sz?

There's also another issue: on an italian forum an user was complaining about the fact that, after a month of usage, the letters on the keys of its keyboard were all erased.
Does anyone else experience this problem?

    thanks

i used notebook hardware control only to monitor the temperatures. i use vaio standard power management

i've still 5 days to return the notebook, are my temps higher than the average of the other sony sz?

nobody wants to check his sony sz temperatures for a comparison?
i obtained full system load running an istance of superpi at 32 M and an istance of prime95 torture test at same time for 30 minutes.

Only because you have same blue bad pixel in the center of the screen i now test temperature for you.
    But i will test in S&M 1.8.1

ok i've 47-51 degrees with low cpu usage. and what temperatures do you reach with cpu at 100% of load?
As explained before i have 78-82 degrees of temp running an istance of superpi at 32 M and an istance of prime95 torture test (selecting "inplace large FFTs from options menu) for 30 minutes.

if you would try this test you can find superpi here and Prime95 here
