    This is great news. Hopefully Sony provides solid competition against Dell, and they'll both knock their prices down for some aggresive free market competition. :D

    Wait. Am I missing something? Sony's offered CTO laptops for a long time now. Just go to www.sonystyle.com.

    As an aside, Dell and HP have been trying to get away from CTO laptops in order to trim prices even further. They've been trying to move toward a model where there's many preconfigured computers and the purchaser chooses one of those.

    I agree with Lithus - SonyStyle.com has had customizable laptops for a while now. Maybe this is specific to the UK/Europe?
