I'd like to buy an 11" Sony. First I looked at the TZ range, before deciding I would prefer a Core Solo machine. But there are quite a few of these, with no very obvious differences:

    VGN-TX3XP
    VGN-TX5XN
    VGN-TX57GN

I've no objection to buying a discontinued model on eBay, but am I right in thinking they're all pretty much the same?

The TX3XP will have Windows XP installed whereas the others will have Vista installed, thats all I know.

most of the tx series are pretty much the same other than which wireless broadband company they support (sprint or at&t/cingular), the speed of the processor (some are 1.2ghz and some are 1.3ghz), and OS that it came installed with.

i have the vgn-tx770p/w, and it has a 1.3ghz processor, 1gb ram (upgraded to 2gb), 80gb hdd, dvd+-rw/dl/ram, and came with windows xp. i love this little notebook.
