weird the link changed when I pasted it here. Here, this should work below. you may need to add a www before the line.

    learningcenter.sony.us/assets/Computers/Notebooks/SZ/SZspecs_a.html

ok somehow this site is changing the link. it works. paste it into a browser with the www in the front. now look at the /sz/szpecs... it changed. REMOVE the space infront of "sz" in / sz/ and it'll work

ah so the price moves from $2499 to $2799(as per that site)for the extra attenna? I can live without it. :) Now I have to deside if the screen is worth the extra $400 price difference.

I don't think they will have the 170 priced that high. It may just take the place of the 160 at it's old price and the 180 will retail at $2799. Just a guess.

I ended up moving from a non premium to a premium. And besides the better screen, which I love, you get slightly better battery life. All the extra stuff such as CF, slimmer, and wieght are trivial...the notebook is already thin and light anyways.

I always wanted to get one with a built in antenna, but after a while I thought, well, I always have my mobile phone with me, which always has GPRS on, which has BT. So it doesn't really matter. I don't need to pay for two phone contacts.

i wouldn't even bother untill they get offof edge and on to broadband connect or whatever cingular calls there high speed network. i have a verizon broadband card, it is big as sh*t and means that my little sz wont fit in the sleave. for a laptop that isnt even out yet and is supposed to be cutting edge the cingular edge network is very 2005. i was wondering if the antenna can be used for something else (broadband connect)
