    Hello,

im looking to improve the performance of my laptop, as my new travel macbookair makes my desktop replacement laptop look like a snail.

    Laptop vaio VGN-AW190 (sony PCG-8131L)

so i have one drive now:
    Seagate momentus 7200.4 320GB
    wwn: 5000c500133cb302
    SN: 5vj26GGE
    PN:9hv14e-300

the laptop in some models have with Raid, i have two drive bays (one in use)

what is my best option SSD for the Operating system and move the 320gb over to second drive bay? or purchase another 320gb for raid?

also the specs i find only list SATA for this laptop, not SATA II or SATAIII can i put a newer model in this laptop?

now im not looking to buy the best possible thing for the money as this laptop is already getting older. just want to speed it up a good amount. budget 400$ or less.
