Hello all. I recently replaced the thermal paste on my CPU and after reassembling everything worked fine. About three weeks later the backlight on my screen went out. The image is still visible with a light pointed at the screen and it still will send video through HDMI & VGA.

Is it possible i pinched a wire putting it back together?
Is it possible to just replace the backlight piece?

It was suggested in another thread that the backlight fuse may have gone bad.

Should i get a replacement screen and see if it works? it would not if the fuse was junk....

It should be noted that i accidentally left a ground wire unattached the first time reassembling and the wire runs into the monitor. Would this have blown the fuse after weeks?

Any opinions at all would be very helpful, thanks.
