    Hi,

Im going to buy a sony vaio fw with a 5400rpm hard drive, but after purchase replace that hard drive with a faster 7200rpm hard drive.

I was wondering if anyone else has done this, and whether they have had any problems with it tampering with the sony warrantly for the laptop. As if i did it myself and something else went wrong with the laptop and i took it to sony they might say that i had violated the warranty by replacing a part of the laptop myself, and therefore not sort out my problem.

Has anyone had anything similar happen?

    Thanks
