    I recently formated the hidden partition on my Vaio fz290 and now windows doesnt work boot up anymore. Even after trying to install it again, it doesnt boot up. any suggestions?

    First, the recovery partition has NOTHING to do with the ability to boot the machine.

    How did you go about "trying to install it again"? Are you saying you tried to reinstall the recovery partition or reinstall Vista. As coolguy suggested you really need to make you question more clear. Tell us exactly what you did and then MAYBE we can give you some help. Give us some detail, don't leave out any of the steps.
