    Hi all

I was wondering was it ever possible to configure a sony vaio tap 11 with 8GB ram?
It could be me confusing things, but i swear seeing it with 8gb option few times.

also the sony vaio pro 11 from sonys websites have officially removed the 512GB option and as usual the sony staff know absolutely nothing.

I was wondering is it possible to upgrade the SSD in the sony vaio pro? as 256gb just dont cut it.

    thanks all

well I am preety srue now that 8GB was avaialabe, few other friends even saw the option for 8gb on the UK website and even other websites.
The japanese site still has the option for 8GB.

The sony store staff are telling me it was never availabe in 8GB are they stupid or lying to me?

They even apparently asked their manager and he too was adapament no 8GB was ever offered.

    so who is right?

anyone have 8GB of ram with their vaio tap 11?

8GB was not an option on the first iteration.

In at least the UK and Japan, you can configure a Tap 11 how you want (up to 512GB SSD and 8GB of memory). No CTO in the USA.

In the US, there is a pre-built that is an i7/8GB/256GB SSD. VAIO Tap 11 Tablet PC 2 in 1 – SVT11227PXB Review - Sony US

As for the Pro, poke around here. Short answer: the Pro 13 has a PCIe SSD. Not readily available, so nearly impossible to upgrade. The Pro 11 I believe has normal mSATA, but I could be wrong.
