    Sony vaio wont boot and cant access bios

    Hello All,
    Just looking for some help or directions from the vaio experts...
    Trying to help a friend with his computer :) I will get the model# in a few...
    The vaio in question is less than a year old, bought from Best Buy (1400+).
    He says it was working fine when he shut it down.
    Now when you start it up, the power light glows green as it should, the fan will work, the DVD will spin up, but holding down F2 has no effect. Can't get into bios, the screen is black, just black. No lights across the switch panel above the keyboard (hdd, ect...) but the keyboard lights up.

    Any ideas or suggestions? :confused:
