One of our users here purchased a vgn-ar550e with Vista pre-installed on it. The problem is our company does not support Vista in a MS environment. What we normally do is re-image PC's with a BartPE cd that has a XP image on it. The problem I'm running into is when I boot with Bart, it does not see the hard drive in the laptop however it does see the external hard drive via USB that has our ghost image on it. I tried looking in the BIOS to see if maybe there was a RAID option turned off but did not see any raid controllers installed. I talked to a Sony tech and he was next to useless in this matter but did mention there is no raid on the system. Is there some driver that I need to load to get Bart/Ghost software to see the hard drive?

    Please help.

You need to have the SATA driver for XP to recognize the SATA hard drive.
