    Sony viao x 11 not detecting HD

    Hiya,
    I need some help my 3 month old sony viao 11 inch X series is not detecting its hard drive and cant seem to fix it using all the win 7 stuff, recovery etc. From command prompt and the Bios it says hardrive (none) does this mean it is a hardware def broken or could it be a virus or software problem not detecting it? do i need to load a driver etc.
    Going through the various hold F8 F10 it always says no operating system detected but asks me to load drivers and can then detect 30gig worth of folders/files etc? which shows the HD is working.

    I got it from the sony store in the Ginza Tokyo with 1year warranty but i don't want to put it into the shop for 3 weeks as i fly back soon and can get it fixed there.
    Thanks for any help and sorry this is my first post here, typing this on a very dependable Lenovo 10 inch that has taken a lot more punishment than the Sony.
