My VGN FE41E is a week or 2 out of warranty! yesterday my charger started playing up  Sometimes it powered up sometimes it doesnt  What do you think the chances are of Sony service hinderance line are of sending me a charger as a good will gesture??

To be fair they were very good when my mouse button failed at the beginning of this year but now its a week or 2 out of warranty will they care??

Ps - Are the chargers known for unreliability?

for the price of shipping your unit back (which is probably what you'd have to do to prove it's the charger), you could pretty much buy a new charger online.

it's out of warranty. they have no obligation.

so just bite the bullet and spend $30 for a new charger.
