Anyone who recently purchased a Z790 can identify the supplier and firmware of the SSD easily by following the following instructions from a spectacular series of articles at http://www.anandtech.com/storage/sho...px?i=3631&p=19. Specifically --

"How can you tell [who the supplier is and the firmware is]? [Click Start, click Control Panel, Click Hardware, Click] Device Manager, go to your SSD properties, then Details, then select Hardware Ids from the dropdown list. Your firmware version will be listed at the end of your hardware id string:"

Could I talk some kind soul into doing this with a very, very recent Z SSD? You can email me at [email protected].

    Thanks!
