That's awesome! I love how its a two prong adapter, instead of the normal grounded three prong one.

I really wonder If there is or will be a three-prong version of this adapter, like VGP-AC19V 22 or VGP-AC19V 23

That is one rubbish charger...I thought the old one was big, heavy and crap. The only thing I like about is one is the square look...It should have been 1/3, maximum 1/2 the size, if Dell, Compaq etc an do it.. why can't Sony. something like this would be nice http://us.kensington.com/html/11168.html, these look super slim and super cool....but I would not know how compatible they would with our notebooks....but for portability you can't beat it, in the UK you can pick them up for approx £32

As long as the prong fits, the voltage and amp is the same, it should pretty much do no harm to your notebook.

yea...I'm looking for an AC adapter with a longer cable on it...I still like to be mobile when my lappy is plugged in =]

I like the S150 adapter...it was very slim. About half the thickness of the SZ adapter. It's 16V compared to our 19.5V...anyone know if it'll still work? I'm assuming it would...but just take longer to charge?

Why is two prong better than three? I hear theres some kind of "shock" issue with the SZ's when using a two prong; which I read that the old SZ's used to come with. Now it's all three, so wouldn't three be better... or is it for the sake of convenience.

I agree that I think that the cable is a little short (from the brick to the laptop), I'd rather have the brick lying on the ground than on the table or dangling off the table...

They send you an entirely new AC adapter. Very convenient so you then have a spare.

What are the benefits of a 3-Prong than 2?

Do you just call up Sony and say, Hey I would like a 3-Prong due to the fact that my Notebook came with a 2-Prong.

    Theres gotta be a reason.

Of course there is a reason. :)

Electrical shock due to laptop not being grounded properly. 3-prong adapter is solving that issue because it's grouded.

Where did you get that ?

I'm pretty sure that it will definately work in Europe. :)
I use SZ450 that is bought in USA and I just switched power cord to be able to use it here. AC adapter is the same here and in USA.

Even though most of the casing is metal, people are getting shocked? I take it it's from the aluminum palmrest? That's cool, I'll give Sony a call when my Notebook arrives. Free things never hurt. :D
