    Hi everyone,

    So Sony stopped taking orders for the SZ160 and is not having it as pre-sales. Is this due to a component supply issue like Brian said http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=44799 or are they trying to fix the lightbleed/keyboard issues and just come around with a better SZ ?

    Just my 2 cents, any one have any idea ? :cool:

    I'm 99% sure it's a supply issue, though all Sony is saying now is that their press release said there wouldn't be availability until spring. So now they're hiding from our inquiries rather than answering questions.

    I saw that. My guess is they are putting everything on hold until they get their sh*t together.
    The light bleed just isn't that bad, IMHO. The SZ has a very good screen.

    Well, remember that the colored FJ series was up there and removed a few times. Especially that raspberry red one after Oprah's best things show. So my guess is supply and demand.

    oh no! big problem for me!!

    i'm going to visit states from march 25 - april 19. i REALLY hope the SZ will be available by then. :mad:

    you guys think it will be back by those dates?

    My guess is we wont see it until May. If Sony expected it any earlier they would either do another round of pre-order or keep the last page giving a date for new models. pre-order pages normally go up one to one and a half months before they can deliver. Expect the SZ premium line to be delayed until May.

    Here is SZ160 in stock at J&R. I was considering but they have a no return policy according to the salesperson. At least with Sony you can return if you don't like it.
