So... apparently, from November 1st till December 19th, Sony's got coupons for a second purchase after an initial purchase. Spend over $1000 CDN, and you'll get a coupon for $250 off another $750 or more purchase with a coupon that lasts from December 1st till Janurary 15th... and so on so forth. There's other coupons for lower values of purchases, but you get the idea.

It sounds like a total money grabbing scheme... however, they did say they'd send the coupons as codes. Which kinda has me curious for all those Canadians buying from Sony this month... if we should help each other out and share coupons between ourselves.

I know after I buy my Z, I don't really feel like spending another $750 just to use a coupon that's going to expire in a month from when I'll be order my Z. (I don't even think there's enough to buy from Sony to fill $750 after I buy a laptop ). However, this way, we may be able to help each other buy laptops.

Just a thought.

 

Good idea! I personally don't think I can spend 750$ worth of Sony goods as well, unless I buy a camera or a TV, but that's just shelling out more cash to them. I'm not quite sure if sharing codes will be allowed on this forum? maybe a mod. can clarify this?

 

Hmm... well, I think since the codes only work once probably, it'd be best if coupon holders come here and say they have the coupons, and arrange who they'd give them to, and then they can actually just PM the code over? I dunno.

...but yea... I'm probably buying my Z soon, as soon as they're back in stock.

I even added it up... buying an extended warranty, and extra large capacity battery, and a 16 gig memstick isn't even enough to reach $750 I'd need to use the coupon... ugggh. >_<
