I just called SonyStyle CA and was told the Z12 would be available on the site beginning June 21st or 22nd. This morning they removed the "Custom Computers" section from the web site and the Z11 no longer appears. SonyStyle US has classified the VPCZ1190X as a "clearance item" (although it is not yet reflected in the price). It looks like those of us in North America will have about a week or so to wait before we can finally get our grubby paws on one of these (or at least order one that will take weeks to build).

I think I read somewhere on this forum that the z12 would have the 1080p screen as an option for CTO. I was wondering if anybody can confirm this. (I am so excited about this, absolutely can't wait this next week.)

Correct. A couple of weeks ago, the page for the VPCZ1290X was accessible on SonyStyle (US) and 1080P was a CTO option. I believe it added only $50 to the charge (although it could have been $100). The Z12 in the UK, AU and Germany also have the 1080P screen. The reps for SonyStyle (US) are still playing dumb as to when the laptop will be available here.

The SonyStyle store in Kitchener has placed the retail Z series Vaio on clearance for a whopping $100 off. I also noticed they removed the custom section today as well.

I was also told by customer service that we will NOT be getting the EA series in Canada but a refreshed EB series on June 24th.

I also want to thank the poster for finding this info out as I had ordered a Z11 on Friday and after some pleading on my part they cancelled my order so I can order a newer one later in the month, as well as an EB for my wife.

I'm also glad we're gettin this refresh as I hear it will be quite a while before us Canadians see the Envy 14.

So eagerly waiting for the new model. I am still a bit hesitant after reading some problems of Vaio Z on this forum.

I have had my Sony Vaio SZ for almost 2.5years now with no problems. I hope same thing goes on with Vaio Z *fingers-crossed*

Good lookin' on the 1080p front.
I have a 1600x900 but I really do wonder if it's too small @ that reso as 1600x900 is pushing it. Albeit I would still pay for it if I had an option.
