    Hi community,

I just signed up for this community after getting my Sony Vaio FW series laptop :)
But 1 week into it I already have problems with the volume button. The first few days worked fine, but after that it behaved very strangely.

Whenever I'm on internet explorer/mozilla firefox, volume -/+ button (would function as previous page/next page) and not changing the volume at all. This gets very annoying when I'm browsing the web and listening to music.

Sometimes the volume -/+ button will also select random keys on the keyboard (I'm assuming random, but maybe it's hitting a specific key, I'm not sure).

Is there a way to set the volume button back to factory setting? It worked fine the first few days!

PS: I have tried to reset the S1,VOL-/+,PLAY,STOP,<<-,->>,AVMODE buttons all to default but that haven't helped.

    Thanks in advance everyone!

Had a problem with mine when did fresh install - reloaded the Sony Notebook Control and Utilities you can find on the Sony Support Site for your model. After that the volume buttons and the OSD worked. Not sure if that will solve your trouble but it worked when my buttons were malfunctioning.
