Anyone know what that means? At least estimated ship date hasn't changed though...

Did you by any chance order from the US store to outside the US?
The fine print on the US store states that they will not accept delivery outside the US.
When they get such order, they will place them on hold. If you can provide them with a US delivery address, they can re-enable your order. If not, it will eventually be cancelled.

In that case, you probably have to give them a call to find out why. Since it's a sales question, and they really want to sell you things, you should get through immediately.

Sony probably wants to get hold of you by phone to make sure that you're the actual person who orders the laptop based on their "consumer purchase protection policy." They're "known" to be anal about such things.

I've just had to call them up myself earlier this morning for the same thing to answer things like:

What is your name?
What is your shipping address?
Who owns the residence of the shipping address?
Did you make this purchase?
    Etc.

The only good thing out of that call is that at the end of those questions, the guy on the phone said something like "OK, we're going to approve your purchase straight away & your Sony product will be shipped out to you ASAP." :)

In case it helps anyone else out, I e-mailed sonystyle and they told me an "on hold" status was normal. Interestingly enough, it went back to "processing" an hour after that. I guess it never hurts to ask...
