Sony officials just release that vaio laptop with core2duo would be introduced by the end of Sept 2006. They said that by that time the new models of SZ would have the Merom Core 2 Duo chips in them.

So for those who are not in a hurry should keep waiting.

There is no official links by sony.

I was told by Sony's officials of the Marketing Dept. in Japan this morning (i am living in Japan).

You may know that information technology is changing very very fast. So that if you really need and love SZ, just buy it. By the time the core2duo is already "inside" the next generation of Vaio, may be 'core3duo' would be released....(just kidding!)
