    Hi there,

I am very near to buying the SR290 laptop but need one piece of information before pulling the trigger. Could someone tell me how loud does the speaker in the SR series get?

Is it sufficient to listen to online videos/movies without using a headphone? I am not very concerned about the sound quality per se. The main concern is if it can get loud enough to able to listen clearly.

    Thanks a lot !!

You also need to download the latest driver update for realtek.

they are pretty weak. On a normal laptop I might have the sound set to about 20-25%, on the SR about 80%.

They are fine for web / youtube, etc. but for any type of music you would probably want headphones.
