The switch for the speed/stamina transition is physically broken on my laptop. It's loose, and sliding it anywhere doesn't change the mode. My issue is that I'm stuck on the Stamina mode. Is there absolutely any way I can simply just switch to speed mode and stick there? I just want to activate hybrid graphics - that is ALL.

Didn't think it would matter in a question like this. It's an S Series SVS13125cnb. The GPU in question is a 640m le.

EDIT: Could you/anyone just please tell me how to enable hybrid graphics without that physical switch... <.<

The speed stamina switch is in many models - VGNZ, VPCZ1, VPCZ2, etc. and they all work differently. Yours has Optimus technology. It should switch automatically if you run an application that needs the GPU. Try launching such an application (a game or media player) by right clicking and selecting the discrete GPU in the context menu.

I dismantled the laptop and manually switched it to speed mode. :) This can be locked now.
