Kid spilled milk on keyboard of my TT, quite a bit. :( I quickly turned it vertical, turned it off, and wiped it clean. What else can I do before I can turn it on to check?

Make sure everything is all dried up before you do anything.

Let it dry for at least a day, otherwise you could damage something.

    "Suck it up", lol

Pull the battery, the power plug and let it dry for a day or two. Cross your fingers and try turning it on.

Yes, I did remove the battery. It was still running ok when I turned it vertical, and turned it off by pressing the power button. I wiped off the milk after that, and removed the battery. Somewhere I read that the keyboard is water tight. Can some one confirm that?

Will blow dry with a hair dryer do?

after it dries, remove the keyboard from the computer. run the keyboard under running water until you think it's clean (yes, very serious).

let that dry. hit it with a blow dryer on low heat. wait a couple extra hours, then reconnect. it'll be working fine.

Blow dryer can go wrong very easily... I managed to melt some keys on my old Medion after 3 years - I just bought an external USB keyboard, its a brick anyway.

    Got my SZ nowadays :)

OK. Thanks for all the responses. I was going to disassemble the keyboard to clean it out, but at the last minute change my mind. Turned it on, and works. :) A couple of keys were sticky. I plied the key out and cleaned it with a wet cue tip, and is ok. It does seem that the keyboard base is one whole piece and water tight. BTW, it was skim milk and was very thin milk. I did not blow it dry, but it is winter here, and humidity is low, and it dried out fast.
