Hey guys, I recently spilt my can of monster and a heap went onto my keyboard leaving me with a lot of sticky keys.

I'm wondering what is the best way to clean them. I have no idea how to disassemble it, or what to do. I thought I could maybe sit it next to a heater or blow over it with a hair dryer to melt out the stickiness, but I'm not sure if that will work.

    Any ideas?

I hope you managed to shut down the laptop okay? The problem with drinks is not the fluid, but the sugars and electrolytes in them, which will frazzle the motherboard if you run current through it. Best way is to strip the machine and clean any trace of spillage with pure water and let it dry naturally. The keys you'll be best to pop them off and clean each one individually and the membrane underneath as well. It's a long and labourious process byt that's what will get your machine running correctly again.

I'd refraing from heating the machine or remelting the gloop unless you are cleaning it off - it'll just run elsewhere and cause more damage!
