You guys are my only hope, I personally trust you guys way more than Sony's sales or even Sprint support. Here is the story.

According to IsLNdbOi, the newer TXN2x has the EVDO Rev A card with Rev A firmware, he has seen the Rev A. on the sidebar in another thread. but since I am getting the 007 Ed. (to me it's cheaper because I need the case and camera as well), but the model is only a TXN1x and according to another EVDO forum, they said it only has a Rev A card but Rev 0 firmware. so I spoke to Sony's sales yesterday, and they said Sprint need to release the firmware, while Sprint says it's a built-in card from Sony, Sony need to support it. So I am getting the typical run around. but looking at the Sony's website there is no firmware available for the card. Do anyone know how to obtain the newer firmware? Second is what type of card is the Sprint broadband inside the TXN? are they MINI PCI? but so are the a/b/g wifi card right? cuz I have yet to see a notebook that has two mini PCI slots, I can be wrong but I know TXN won't have dul mini pci slots. so I need some help here.

The Sprint broadband card In the TX / TXN is not mini-pci. It uses some other type of connection which is shown in the TXN disassembly guide. It looks like a proprietary connector.

You know what, Sony has just released the firmware for the Sprint Broadband card to be compatible with Windows Vista, I wonder if it will have the Rev A. firmware, because you are running Vista and it shows you have Rev A. so hopefully that firmware will enable the older TXN with Rev A also..
