This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Stalling when booting up?

    I removed the battery on my brothers laptop earlier as I was trying to get rid of the loose battery (mod thread in this forum), and when I put it back on and booted up...ever since it will stall for about 20-30 seconds right after the XP welcome screen (as my wallpaper shows). My mouse still moves, but nothing boots up.
