I noticed the Vaio store no longer has them. I do see it in their outlet but are there any options on getting the Vaio Z with the GPU dock elsewhere? what price range should I be looking at?

My sugestion: Wait until the Haswell CPU´s will be released, then I think a "new" Z will appear. At the moment the Z´s which you dan configurate are very pricey :)

A Z with only the I5, 8 GB Ram, 256 SSD, PMD with DVD, No FHD Screen, No WWAN is about 2500 Euro. Add 300 for I7 and WWAN :)

I dont think it will be like the current Zs. The Zs are discontinued. Zs were maximum speed, minimum weight/size, no compromise.
Thus something expensive, something not so many people buy.
I don't think the "new" version (which prolly wont be called Z) will have a raid0 super fast SSD, for example (it will probably have haswell CPU), and probably no dock 'n stuff.

the UK Sony website shows them available but isn't the customs duties outrageous? Does anyone know what it costs to ship a Z from the UK?

I built one on the UK website and it came out to almost USD$5,000.00. Not an option for me! I cannot find a new Z anywhere with a 512SSD. I am now thinking of buying a Duo 11 because I just cannot find a new Z anywhere.

The German Online Store still has some, but you can only order it with QWERTZ Keyboard and prices start at EUR 2000 for the i5 version.

it's pretty easy to just swap the Y and Z keys on the keyboard tho, there's also a tutorial somewhere on the board for replacing keys on Z so you make sure you don't break anything

I don't even know where the Z and Y keys on any of my laptops are (I have German, UK, US, Korean and Serbian keyboard laptops). The only two keys that really move are the \? key and the Enter (Insert/Delete might move sometimes). Everything else is just blind typing with a US keyboard layout set (in Regional settings).

I don't see any problem with any keyboard layout for now; I never cared either.

160.000JPY for the quad-core fairly loaded model.... sheesh! (That's ~1400EUR, which you couldn't get even the basic VAIO Z in Europe for, much less with something).

ebay remains the best bet, even for new ones. Also, the closeout resellers like blinq.com.

I'm unable to find any SVZ laptops on e-bay as of now...
It seems as though people stopped selling them on e-bay!

Where? I'm looking for specifically the following specs:
    15th anni strip
    i7-33612QM
    8GM Ram
    256SSD

The annoying part is I'm based in both London and Hong Kong. Hong Kong has the aforementioned model for around $2550 USD brand new with blu-ray dock...but I am unable to find any now.

Not in the US... Or at least, there are no more SVZ13 in the outlet (the latest model, the "Z3"). There are still a few older Z2's straggling there, but the Z2 never had a quad-core option... (and that's the main reason why I need it. I need a quad core 13" lightweight machine to do a lot of my work without compromising on parallel processing performance).

Agreed. All sony outlets don't have SVZ in stock afaik. Even eBays seem to run out of SVZ to bid for the past 2 weeks or so (at least not ones with a i7 quad core).
