I seem to have a strange display isue with my SZ160 display. It's not a pixel issue as in having any dead or stuck pixels, the best way to describe it is on the left side of the display there is an elongated triangle of cloudiness which is very visible when the display is off. When the display is on with any color other than black it is not visible, when the display is on a black background it is visible but not as much as when the display is off. This triangle of cloudiness doesn't start at the very edge of the left side but a little bit in from the edge.
I'm positive this wasn't the case when I purchased it as I'm extremely picky when it comes to displays and looked it over very carefully when I got it, I would have brought it back immediately. I have a feeling this has been happening over time and it is becoming worse so it is really bothering me now.
My question is if anyone would have any idea what it could be and if anyone might have experienced the same problem. I would take a photo and post it but of course I lent my brother my camera to take on vacation with him.I tried doing a screen shot on a black background but it really isn't very noticeable on a screen shot.

If I recall, some people reported an issue that has/had plagued some Apples. Does it look like this?...

    http://www.apple.com/support/powerbook/displayprogram/identify.html

I don't know what causes it. Some people blamed pressure on the back of the screen by carrying it or having books or something pressing against it, but I'm not so sure. I think its a display flaw and I sure hope my TX850 never exhibits it.

I made a Photoshop image of what my problem looks like. It's not as well defined as the image but it's not far off. As I said it is a cloudiness that looks almost a cream color when the display is off, when on a black background it is noticeable but not terrible. I guess I'll bring it in to a Sony Store and let them lok at it, if the display has to be replaced I sure hope I don't get one with any bad pixels as pixel wise thisone is perfect.
