    Good Afternoon all,

This is my first post, so hopefully I have made it in the right place.

I have a Sony Vaio (VGN-C25G) and just recently the Pioneer DVD drive has stopped recognising gaming CDs and only gaming CDs.

I have tried Warcraft and the Sims (as examples - from two different companies) in my mates compaq laptop and they work fine, and normal DVDs, CDs and even application DVDs (such as Windows Vista) work perfectly on my machine. The game CDs/DVDs simply wont be recognised and it is pretty frustrating as these are all original versions (not pirated). I have resorted to a clean install of Vista (something I have needed to do on a sony with varying results) but the problem persists...

Can anyone offer me some advice as to why this would be happening? The fact its just gaming CDs is driving me insane!

    Regards

    JD
