    Hi everyone!

I've installed Windows 7 RTM x64 on my SR19 three weeks ago. Everything is working fine except one thing, which I'm trying to fight all the time and nothing helps.

When my laptop reaches it's critical battery level it hibernates. But when I plug it in and turn it back on, Windows says "Resuming from hibernation" and loads until welcome screen, than it immediately says "Shutting down", and shuts down the computer. I have to press power button again and it successfully boots, but all of my work is lost..

As far as I understood, Windows should work normally after resuming from hibernation, even if it was hibernated due to critical power level. So what's the problem?

If I put my laptop into hibernation myself, it resumes absolutely normally and everything is working fine.

I've tried disabling "Automatically enter hibernation when..." in VAIO Control Center, and left "Critical battery level action -> Hibernate" on, this changes nothing. I've tried even uninstalling VAIO Power Management. Doesn't help.

So probably the problem is in Windows itself, or maybe in some drivers... Oh I don't know...

Thank's in advance for all advices.

PS As far as I remember, this issue also existed on Windows Vista SP2 x64 clean install, but I'm not sure.

    PS2 Sorry for my English.

    change advanced power setting

    battery

reserve battery level :----- put it to 0 %

    Hm... Interesting...
I will try and then report if it helps.
    Thank's.

Actually, I've tried to set "Crirtical battery level" to 5% instead of 0%, but I haven't tried changing "Reserve battery level"...

    critical battery level 5%
    critical battery action Hibernate
    reserve battery level 0%

and disable "Automatically enter hibernation when..." in VAIO Control Center

    Hello.
Unfortunately, setting "reserve battery level" to 0% didn't solve the problem. However, I've managed to bypass it by completely reinstalling Windows 7 and NOT installing VAIO Power Management at all.

If anyone is interested, I've downloaded all drivers (except ATI) for my VAIO SR19 from American Sony support site, and to get latest versions, I chose SR490 as my model and Vista x64 as my OS. I've extracted everything using Universal Extractor. Everything is working perfect, no compatibility issues noticed.
