I was at CompUSA this morning and I noticed there was an SZ260 on display. I started to use it and I got the strangest sensation when I laid my palm on the palm rest, it was like electricity was coming through the palm rest and causing a constant buzzing tingly feeling. I can't explain it better than that but when I came home I started using my SZ160 and I don't feel the sensation at all. Strange huh?

Yes, it's strange, and there's some discussion about that in this forum. You might want to do a search for more information regarding the tingling feeling. I'm not sure if it's addressed/fixed by Sony though.

I've used many SZ's and never experienced such a sensation. In fact, I've never heard of a notebook that features such a strange defect. If your allogation is true, this issue really needs to be addressed. You should try out some other notebooks and see if you "sense" anything from them. It's very possible good old fashion static electricity is the culprit. Rub your hand on a blanket before you touch a notebook to prevent damage and/or electric shock.

Weird I have never had it either, and have 2 SZ's in the family.

i felt it in my local store. Just had to run my finger along the metal surface just next to the SZ's touch pad. A non-premium model in the same store didn't have the same problem though

good to know that its in the 260 too! I was thinking of returning my 220 and buying the carbon fibre case. Well if its occuring in both, im gonna stick it out w/my 220! And if that doesnt work (in the next 17 or so days) it goes back! hehe

I have sz 250. No electro shock or vibration. Just blue bad pixel in the centre.

Dont listen to aerosense, we all have that problem.
J/k not sure why some have it and some don't. But I'm willing to be like battery draining issues, 95% of all SZ have that palm thing going on when plugged into a wall outlet.
