I tried purchasing a notebook through the Sony Style outlet store last night, it was a refurb'd Z series, but my student discount wasn't showing and I went as far as the screen where it asks for your credit card. Has anyone had any luck with this?

Not sure about Sony, but with Dell, you have to get a rep on the phone who is willing to bend the rules a little.

Usually, student discounts only work through the EPP websites/sales people, but if you get the right rep on the phone, they can make exceptions.
