The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     My WinDVD BD for VAIO with the latest patch (build 8.20.89) has a problem playing Blu-ray movies with Windows XP SP3. The sound stutters. No problem with Windows Vista, though. I have all latest patches and I can still play Blu-ray with PowerDVD Ultra.

    Has anyone else been having this problem with Windows XP? I probably could downgrade to earlier patch but newer movies require the latest patch otherwise it won't play at all.
