    Hi,

I am still having a 2008 Sony Z11 WN/B (VGN Z-690) and I am not sure if I am able to swap the 250 gb HDD vs. a 250gb OCZ Vertex 2 SDD.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks for your help!

Yes you can, I would recommend finding the service manual (its in a thread somewhere on this site), makes the swap much easier and less risk of breaking anything.
I have replaced the 250GB HDD in my old VGN-Z21 with a Vertex 2 120GB SSD.

Thanks! How was your experience? Is there any link to the manual?
