    Hi.

Touchpad is not working at all now (Model: SVE1511J1EW).. and what bugs me most is that it just started two days ago until then it was just fine so can anyone help me. I tried to reinstall the drivers a couple times but nothing. Device Manager does list it but it apears with the error triangle and when you check the properties it says "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" I'm not really sure why this is but as said, I haven't had this problem before and now its there. Thanx again, really appreciate your time.

I had a similar scare a few days ago on an old VGN-S2XP. I decided to install Windows 7 on it, and backed up all my data and uninstalled a few programs (Ask.com crapware, et. al.). I was just about to format the C drive prior to reinstalling when suddeny the touchpad started working again. Go figure.

Have you tried completely uninstalling the drivers and seeing if it'll work with the default Microsoft drivers?
