I have a Vaio SR 190 and i'm trying to use the Google Code for two finger scrolling. I have a synaptics touchpad v7.0 with Driver 10.2.4 I have Chiralmotion and momentum enabled but the google code program keeps saying "Driver support for multiple fingers is already enabled but the driver still doesn't report multiple fingers. Either you haven't restarted the system yet or your TouchPad doesn't support multiple fingers." Can anyone help? Does my synaptics touchpad, not have multitouch hardware that other ones do?

Are you sure your SR uses a Synaptics touchpad? I did not think so.

I'll move your thread to the Sony forum, you may get more answers there.

The SR has a Synaptics v7.0 touch pad. From what I've read, the v7.0 firmware blocks multi touch somehow. Is there any way around this?

Yes I have tried that and it did not work. I also tried two-finger-scroll and that also did not work.
