Has anyone else noticed that the text on some web pages is blurry and hard to ready? I have an sz250 connected to a Dell 1901 LCD via DVI. I have tried to adjust all the nvidia and windows graphics stuff to no avail. I get the same problem on the sz screen when docked.

I haven't tried out the docking station but what you just said is making me have second thoughts about buying (Sony's usually overpriced) the docking station...

    Blurry DVI outputs?
I believe you don't have that problem using the same screen for your other computers right?

That's correct. No problem with desktop computer. So I'm thinking it may have something to do with the Nvidia card. I think the only reason to buy the dock is if you want DVI out (which is what I want).

are you running both the LCD and SZ screen at the same resolution? If so, that's probably your problem, as running a 19 regular aspect screen in widescreen mode will look poor.

Have you gone into your display properties to change the external monitor's res?

I'm running the SZ+dock with a external widescreen at 1680x1050 and everything is crisp. I use Ultramon to manage monitors in dock/non-dock modes.

I run a Dell 2405 LCD through DVI and it's perfect.

The only issue is very often you have to reset the settings (resolution, location of the screen etc...) but this is a windows issue

Our SZ-260 also works fine with a Dell 2405FPW using DVI. The default settings produce a sharp, crisp display for desktop applications including Internet Explorer. With a 17" VGA LCD, on the other hand, we have had to work at adjusting the settings - definitely have to use the Image Sharpening feature.

The Nvidia control panel is confusing with respect to how it determines the monitor profile to apply. One would expect there would be some specific setting for the .nvp profile it will use with a monitor type, but we can't find a setting like this. It seems to use the last profile automatically. Does anyone know about this?

this would happen with most VGA screen, it's inherent to the analog connection being used
