I am happy using windows to manage my wireless connections and would like to uninstall (or at least get it from starting up) Intel PRO/wireless stuff. Has anybody done this and if so what is the best way to do it? Will uninstalling the Intel PRO/Wireless software leave the driver on the system?

Well I'd say you can't remove it as it is also the driver. But you don't have to use the util. Just right klick on the tray icon and chose "let windows manage wirless". Then you're using the windows wireless management. But why would you wanna do that, the Intel ProSet is so much better.

You could uninstall it, I did because it freed up about 30megs of ram and my boot up is faster now; however, it uninstalls the driver too. So the solution is to re-download the latest driver, 10.5.2.71 I believe. It's a simple operation so you shouldnt have too much trouble with it.
