Sorry, wrong link, I pasted below from the same web site:

    Sony VGN-SZ2XP/C and VGN-SZ2VP/C Notebooks

With the new Sony VAIO SZ2- Notebook Series one doesn’t just get a notebook but also a style statement! The new series by Sony has all the current features and technologies and makes one great eye candy too! Let’s now look at the notebook in more detail.

The VAIO SZ2 series boast one of the fastest and the latest T2600 Intel® Core™ Duo processors around and comes with a full 1GB of 533MHz DDR2 SDRAM! This deadly combo means that multitasking and other activities are taken to the very next level. The Sony X-black LCD which contains two powerful lamps and is finished with a reflection-reduction layer also results in a superior display with sharper contrast and brightness. The notebook weighs about 1.68kg and the LCD is only 4.5mm front to back. Each machine is enclosed in nickel plated carbon fiber moldings and the casing is an excellent heat conductor.

The notebooks also include the Trusted™ Platform Module (TPM) hardware and fingerprint recognition to further protect the user data and enhance the overall security. The TPM checks for unauthorized changes to both hardware and software, acts like a built-in smart card, provides an exclusive ID and the TPM chip itself stores vital data like passwords and encryption keys. The notebook also has what Sony calls Stamina mode which basically switches graphics for better battery life as the SZ2-Series has two graphics processors. For gaming and other 3D multimedia

I'm a little lost. The specs seem just like a fully speced SZ90PS. Did I miss something?

It's nothing really new. It's basically the 2.16GHz processor that makes it different

Sounds exactly the same as the SZ1VP and SZ1XP. However instead of the T2500 and T2400 processors these two had, the new machines have the T2600.

Although I'm probably guessing the SZ2VP has the T2600 and the SZ2XP now has the T2500. Because otherwise there would be hardly any difference between the two.

I really don't get how Sony decides on in its naming convention and when to iterate to the next series. LOL

Yeah doesn't seem to be much of a difference for the SZ, but the FE now has the Geforce 7600, nice!!
