    Vista RTM

Vista RTM only registers 64 MB of dedicated memory to the video card. I plugged this laptop to an external monitor and had sluggish performance compared to XP.

I am going to the NVIDIA website to download xp drivers and install them to see if it changes anything.

I always guessed the Vram in the FE series was 64mb and not 128mb, It was never really clarrified by sony what you were really getting, If you use the latest copy of ATiTool which works with Nvidia cards, It to displays 64mb of dedicated ram.

With the computer on 'Speed', right-click on the 'My Computer' icon then click 'Properties'. At the bottom it will show, for example, "2.00 GB RAM".

Now switch to 'Stamina' mode and reboot. System Properties will now show "1.95 GB RAM".

The GeForce Go7400 has 128 MB of dedicated RAM, the Intel 950 uses 64 MB of system RAM.

I may be wrong but I thought the Intel 950 is also using 128 MB of system RAM...

The 950 scales its RAM usage up and down as required.
