Help! Tonight I came into my office and noticed that my SZ650 was asleep/hibernating - so I hit the power button as I always do and a screen came up that said resuming windows. Then the computer just went dead.

No when I ht the power button nothing happens at all! This is horrible as all of my information is on that machine!

So I have tried plugged in with no battery, pluged in with batters, not plugged in and nothing each time.

    Any recomendations?

Jeme; was it in sleep or hibernation? If Sleep first before Power Options were set to do something else...try pulling the memory from machine, 2 x 3" door on the bottom of the machine and re-seat the memory...also, double check each memory module; if you have more than one, to esnure there are no memory errors.

OK - first thanks to all of you for the responses! I feel like a big dummy - I was very perplexed so I thought I would go to my easy chair where I keep another charger and try that - sure enough the orange charging licht starts blinking - bottom line the power cord at my desk became unpluged at the wall and the battery drained to a state where it would not power up the computer.

I am a dummy! OK - thanks for the help.
